Ask anyone who is anyone in the breed in the 90's about Daisy and they will tell you that she was in their Top Ten of their favorites. She impressed everyone by her attitude, discipline, dedication, drive and willingness to please in anything asked of her. She was a bit on the smaller side for girls but plenty of bone and substance made up for that along with correct proportions that allowed her to move with such grace and power. She was the love our our lives and ran the household for
many years. Her ability as a producer was outstanding even though she didn't have her first litter until she was almost 6 years old as she was busy in the ring and David was busy relocating to Canada. She met up with her fan base at many a US National where you could see her in Obedience, Conformation and Agility. Most often you would see them in Team Obedience where you could see the bond between David and Daisy. Her work ethic even let her gain her American agility titles when she was just a couple months shy of her 13th birthday even winning big classes over all the border collies with her consistent performances even though by then she had a hard time hearing commands and did the courses all with hand signals.
Daisy was by my side when I moved to Canada, was with us through our stay of ten years in Ottawa and was with us throughout the building and settling into our current house in Gananoque, she saw us through it all.
You always think there will never be another like her but we are very fortunate that she passed on the wonderful qualities to her offspring and they in turn have passed it on to their offspring. She is remembered fondly by so many, it was a pleasure to call her ours.
