Ch. Prelude N EJ's Six Shooter MW

"Shooter"

Shooter who was co-bred with Emma Jean Stephenson of "EJ's Dachshunds, he was one of those boys who didn't know he was only 11 lbs and smaller than the other hounds. He thought he should be at the front of the line and often by the time the Group judging was over he was out front where he belonged. Soon after he was the one chosen for Best In Show!

Shooter started out well with 4 Best Puppy In Show awards followed by Best Puppy In Specialty under breeder judge Ken Levinson and Best In All Breed Sweepstakes.

1999- Top Ten Mini Wire

2000- Number One Mini Wire - Shooter's First Best In Specialty win.

2001- Number One Mini Wire - Shooter's First Two Best In Show wins another Specialty Win and Top Ten Hound - Best In Show Bermuda KC.

2002- Number One Mini Wire - Best In Show - 12 Group wins

Group First and Second at Wine Country NY Shows over 240 hounds.

2003 Number One Mini Wire - Best In Show - Best In Specialty Show and Shooter now has over 100 Group Placements

Shooter "retires" at Sujon kennels in Michigan and is shown sparingly by John Philips who wins another US Hound Group and occasionally Stacey Podesta who was always one of his biggest fans.

2005 Stacey ranks him one more time as #3 Mini Wire 

Shooter was presented at Westminster on three occasions and built up quite a fan base in NY. You would often hear in the crowd "this is the little dog I told you about!" He has also appeared in many calendars over the years thanks to photographer Mark Raycroft.

In his career Shooter is the Top Winning Mini Wire Dachshund in the history of the Breed in Canada. He has defeated well over 5000 dogs in his lifetime.
